Midnight sun over Raftsundet, water warm enough to argue about, and a day with no natural end.

Lofoten in summer is a strange and generous place. The light is continuous, the sea is calm enough to travel on most days, and the mountains hold snow above green hillsides.
Because the island is private, the day has no schedule imposed on it. Breakfast when you wake. Boat when the water looks right. Sauna when you come back cold and salted.
Nothing is fixed: each day is shaped around the weather, the water and what the party feels like doing. Each chapter is one way the long day might unfold.

The boat is the point of summer. Line-fishing for cod and coalfish, hauling crab pots, running out to beaches you reach no other way, and swimming off the rocks when the courage arrives.

Guided walks into the fells behind the fjord, shoreline foraging, kitchen-garden picking, and summits that give you the whole archipelago at once. As gentle or as long as you want it.

In June the sun does not set. Dinner drifts. Someone suggests a boat at one in the morning and, because the island is yours, nobody has to ask anyone's permission.

Summer is the kitchen's easiest season and its most demanding one: shellfish and coastal fish at their peak, the garden producing daily, and herbs picked on the way back from the boat.
The long light runs from the last snow of May to the first storm light of October — and the weeks on either side of high summer are seasons in their own right, quieter and no less beautiful.

The season turning in real time: glass-flat water, first foraging, snorkeling the shallows, snow still on the peaks above a green island.

Light that never leaves. Island-hopping, freediving, cloudberries and long dinners that run past midnight because nobody notices the hour.

Storm light, mushroom and berry season, the harvest brought in, and the first Northern Lights over an island still warm from summer.

Midnight-sun weeks are released to a small number of parties as full island buyouts. Tell us your dates and we will come back to you.
